Brian Edson, Owner of The Good House Hotel and Spa

Brief Story

The Good House Hotel & Spa is the ONLY Black-owned hotel in the greater Palm Springs, California area. The bungalow-style property sits on its own natural hot springs and the only energy vortex in the country.

The location has a full-time chef, Chef Van Stevens, which guests can order healthy eats as well request custom dinners from.

The alkaline mineral water at The Good House comes from a 600 year old well. The warmth and natural properties of the water, which can be found in their two hot spring pools, can help with stress reduction, detoxification, healing skin ailments, and pain relief.

Brian is inspired to build a place of peace and relaxation for others, with continued efforts to support diverse entrepreneurship and activate inclusive community programming.

Intro+ Pain Point

The founders of The Good House Hotel were looking for a team that could help alleviate their sources of pain by expanding the property’s digital footprint via media relations, increasing bookings, even in the off season, building more partnerships/events, and managing their digital marketing (i.e. email, paid advertising, social media marketing, and website management).

Cultivating the Relationship

Moore Creative Solutions and All Worthy People met with the client to gain clarity on the gaps that needed to be filled and how we were going to strategically set goals, expectations, and execute throughout the duration of our relationship. We analyzed the systems they use to manage their marketing efforts, their website, social media channels, digital assets, branding, promotional materials, ESP (Mailchimp), and Google Analytics.

We developed a baseline digital marketing and public relations strategy that we executed and monitored month after month. We collectively analyzed this strategy to decipher which aspects are performing well and where we may need to improve and restructure. 

Cultivating Strategy + Execution

Moore Creative Solutions and All Worthy People developed a strategy that would focus on community growth across all digital platforms, including social and email marketing, strengthening The Good House’s reputation in Desert Hot Springs, and its surrounding areas, as well as online, increasing the number of partnerships, events, and booked stays/day passes.

In the execution stage, we focused on distributing lifestyle content of the property, grounds, food, and UGC - as we noticed this was the most engaging content. With respect to social advertising, we created a monthly strategic distribution of deploying two brand awareness ads and two promotional ads based on specials or deals the property would be having at the time.

The targeting of these ads would focus on New York, Miami, Chicago, Local Palm Spring Counties, Los Angeles Counties, Orange County, Riverside County, San Diego, San Francisco, Dallas, TX; and Austin, TX.

SEE YOU IN THE DESERT was a once-in-a-lifetime chance to turn up inside of a black-owned hot spring located on top of an energy vortex for an entire weekend. The 3-day event featured sounds by Brian Henry, Earry Hall, DJ Cassanova, Ricks, Dash, DJ Hunny Bee, and Huney Cut.

The Results

From August 10, 2022, until October 31, 2023, Moore Creative Solutions and All Worthy People have achieved a 77.24% growth rate on Facebook and Instagram, 710K impressions on all social platforms, 50K social profile views, 100K website impressions, and increased bookings by 25%.

In addition, because of our increased presence, we have received an influx of brand ambassador inquiries, so The Good House Hotel and Spa has created a Brand Ambassador/Influencer program for future partnerships.
